Pink Trench and Pink Denim

These are the DL1961 Emma Legging Jeans in Flamingo. I love that the color is called flamingo. They’re lightweight and the seam on the wasitband doesn’t rub my skin off. However, DL1961 jeans are supposed to have magical technology so they don’t sag, bag, or lose shape. I’ve found that the technology doesn’t work on me, and I’m sure you can see it in how baggy these jeans are around the knee and through the thigh. I think I could have actually taken a 28 instead of my usual 29. Crazy. …
On a Tree at Sunset
Oh hai. The blog is back, no ill effects from the digital flu (i.e. I think Bluehost let their drives fail). So many people were knocked out, and you’d think Bluehost would send courtesy emails so as not to cause a huge panic. They did respond to my “Bluehost broke my blog” tweet fairly quickly, which at least is something.
I wish I could climb this tree, but I’m a terrible tree climber and I think the spindly branches are too skinny to hold weight anyway. I probably couldn’t get up on one without a ladder because the closest ones to the ground are still feet above my head. I already tried. In heels. Of course. …
Afternoon by the River
I think this is the last time I’ll be wearing tights this season. I hope so, but one never knows with the wildly changing weather. Lately I’ve been either burning or freezing.

When Bloggers go to Blue Owl
On the 11th Nnenna, Lala, and I met at Blue Owl for a mini blogger meetup. And Kim is definitely coming next time! I love getting together with my friends– it’s a very big part of what makes New York so great. And we live very near each other, so we should definitely be seeing each other all the time.
Nnenna and I were together during daylight for the first time in so long and we chose the church courtyard for photos again. Lala met us later and has been camera shy lately, but I’m determined to get her in photos soon. I’m such a creepy photo stalker. …
Zebra Pretending to Live in a Forest
Whenever I’m not in New York I like to pretend that I live in the forest, but as you can see by the paved road that’s definitely not true. Even if the trees are very tall and forest-like.
I haven’t worn this skirt in a long long while because it doesn’t wear well with tights and it wrinkles terribly in the front. Tried to casual it up by wearing the plain shirt, but I couldn’t resist the lure of the pink belt or nude pumps. I’m enjoying bare legs as much as I can even if the temperatures have definitely been too cool for them lately. There’ve been a lot of shivery mornings. …
And then, the Sun
Happy Easter (if you observe). It was beautiful all day, but suddenly became cloudy during the early evening. I waited and waited… and there was a fantastic sunset! Windy, though. It’s been so terribly windy that I haven’t been wearing skirts. The secret to wearing a maxi dress on a windy day is to wear a slip under it. Helps a lot, even if it’s only knee length.
In other news, I have a mildly hilarious story– about death and Holy Week. My grandfather had been very ill this past week and died on Saturday morning. That’s obviously not the funny part. The funny part is that the priest told my family (in all seriousness) it was such a wonderful weekend to die. Well as far as weekends go, for those of the Roman Catholic Church this is definitely the best possible one to die during. Makes it no less amusing to me. Of course, I can be wildly improper so you may not find it as humorous as I did. Stress may be getting to me. …
