Beauteeze Launch Party at Wix Lounge | Events

Last week a few blogger friends and got together for complimentary cocktails and beauty treatments at the Beauteeze.com launch party at Wix Lounge. Beauteeze.com is currently in beta but as far I can tell is fully functional. You can browse and book beauty appointments online by time, date, location or treatment.

I had a wonderfully relaxing mini massage from in-home treatment specialists NYC Healing Hands that drained the tension from my shoulders in less than five minutes.

Sending off Lindsay with Brunch at Punch

Nnenna, Stéphanie, and our guest of honor and dear friend Lindsay (center) who has sadly moved away from New York.

It’s always difficult to send a friend off on the next adventure of her life, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be an afternoon get-together filled with light and laughter. And that’s exactly what happened one rainy Saturday in Flatiron.

We brunched on cocktails, a fantastic bread basket, and all kinds of fancy eggs at Punch Restaurant. Definitely added to my best brunches in New York list.

Rafael Cennamo Fall 2013 | New York Fashion Week

Everything was aglitter at Rafael Cennamo F/W 2013. Having also seen the spring collection, I thought that the fall collection was a good next step forward. This one appeared better cut to my eye, as well as somehow more wearable than the last without losing any of the drama and flair I associate with the brand.

Night in Times Square

Dear Caitlin,

On Friday after the kensie jewelry preview, Nicole, Nnenna and I decided it would be a good idea to take some photos in Times Square. Or rather I decided Times Square was a totally perfect location and dragged them along with me. It was a little windy, but surprisingly uncrowded. It still weirds me out that there’s no traffic there any more. No more iconic photos of taxis stuck in traffic on Broadway.

Kensie Jewelry 2013 Preview – Tell Me Something Pretty

How pretty is this little bracelet? Generally I don’t wear beaded jewelry, but this was my favorite piece at the kensie jewelry preview party. Bright color, geometric shapes, and gold dominated the collection, which mostly consisted of necklaces and earrings. I also noted a few bangles and bracelets to round out some sets, but sadly no rings.

PARKCHOONMOO Fall 2013 | New York Fashion Week

Nothing matters more to me than the shows. Not the parties, gifts from brands, lounges, or anything else… so sitting front row is the absolute highlight of my fashion week.

The look at PARKCHOONMOO was stark and would have been downright severe if not for the plethora of soft draping. A collection done in black and white with hints of blue is of course practically enough to win me over immediately. I also appreciated very much that this collection actually looks like I could wear it during the fall and winter. I feel that I’ve really had enough of sheer pastels for a season or two. Interestingly, the fabrics used in the collection are all tech fabrics and the leather treated to be water resistant– something that would be amazingly useful for New York’s random rain showers.

Lots and lots of photos. You have been warned.
