Dear Mia,
There are so many great things to do in New York, including free things like wandering around Brooklyn Bridge Park. This is Pier 1, an area of the park with an incredible view of the Financial District. I love skyscrapers. There are a few restaurants I’ve always wanted to eat at just because of the view from the pier, and one day I’m going to take the ferry back to Manhattan because I’m sure it’s an interesting experience. I’ve never taken the ferry in New York before.
Bridges and the Empire State Building in the distance.
So many times I’ve walked around by the ferry… and I never noticed these plates until recently.
Looking into Brooklyn Heights.
The Statue of Liberty on the far left. A little bit better seen in high resolution.

ALEX. GIVE ME YOUR GLAMOROUS LIFESTYLE. Or at least your glamorous scenery. These pictures are so gorgeous and vibrant, I want to go be there right now! This minute!
I too love skyscrapers–my favorite of the ones I’ve seen in real life is (naturally) the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco.
Alex, your photos are always so beautiful! And I love you in shorts! The last time I was in NYC was back in 2003, and I think I’m due for another visit! You are definitely making me want to go again!
love the shorts – i’m so ready to move back – i was just thinking how visting for 10 days is going to kill me on leaving.

Oh noooo, I’m sure you’ll be sad to leave! Unless it continues to be super miserably hot, haha.
Aw you look great in shorts! Love the bridges in the city especially your pics on Instagram ;)
Thanks! I’m definitely a bit of a bridge photographer. They look so good in photos, especially at night!
LOL! I was going to say…we rarely see you in shorts and I think they look great on you! Beautiful photos of NYC!
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!!
great photos alex!

Such gorgeous photos! You make NYC so dreamy looking. The Brooklyn Bridge was one of my favorite things in NYC!
You can totally pull off those shorts, and I love that skyline. no wonder you are always there.
I’m pretty sure I looked pantsless for most of the day because my shirt is really long, haha.
It’s also quiet in the park… quieter than other popular parks in New York. You could almost be in the suburbs. While I love the energy of the city, I think sometimes the hustle and bustle can really get to you, and it’s good to take a bit of a breather!
