Dear Lydia,
Sometimes the photos you take and the photos you think you take are quite different, you know? I didn’t realize quite how dramatic we looked– me with my “I want to be alone” pose and Nnenna doing her best to totally stare that squirrel down. How dare you try to steal the spotlight, Ms Squirrel!
Yeah, we’re just a bunch of crazies. We know.

Oh my god, Alex. Best pose. BEST POSE. I’m going to try to recreate this when I get home tonight.
Alex says
DO IT. And if you send me a photo I’ll post you here and write about Reading in Skirts.

Et voila!

Not much of a family resemblance, is there?

My favorite bag of yours! I love it. And I completely know what you mean about photos looking completely different than what you think they look like.
Alex says
I love this bag, too! I heard rumors that it’s being discontinued though… I hope not! I’d love to have this one in another color!

seems like whenever bloggers get together, the photos get extra crazy… I think after a while the idea of photographing yourself everyday feels quite routine and I am very serious – all business – about doing it. So having another blogger with you tends to bring out the idea that yes, we are posing for photos for a blog, and this is a rather silly, and fun thing to do.
Alex says
Hmmm yes, that’s true. We can get extra silly and fun together.
I’m still determined to put Nnenna in the middle of the crosswalk, taxis and skyscrapers behind her. I want photos like that for everyone.
