I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but the weather’s doing something crazy in these photos. They’re actually from before Memorial Day when it was constantly storming and I thought mid-Atlantic was about to become the tropics. This Alexander Wang dress is great during humid and rainy weather. The jersey breathes well and tends to dry quickly unless totally and completely soaked. And when it rains, black is always a better choice than white!
It’s pouring, yet sunny. And my hair is getting soaked. Just had it cut, so at least it’s a little less of a ragged mess these days.
Oh well. Actually I used to love going out in the rain when I was younger. With or without an umbrella. I don’t get much opportunity to do that now. Always going somewhere, and when you’re outside in New York without an umbrella you are seriously getting rained on.
New shoes! They’ve got the Cole Haan + Nike Air technology, so I’m hoping they’ll be my walking shoes this summer.

Oh, wow! I love sunshowers–they always feel like there’s a glitch in the Matrix or something, haha. Despite the rain, your lighting is gorgeous here! Ahh, your pictures are always so pretty…
Gorgeous dress! Yes this weather is totally screwing up my wardrobe… one day it’s hot and humid the next day it’s pouring raining :(
Ow ow! You look gorgeous! That Grecian-looking dress is STUNNING! The draping is super sexy. So goddess-like.
May the force be with you.
Emily
Thanks! This dress is one of my favorites.
Ooh, I love this dress on you soo much!
I hope your shoes are really comfortable, it’s good to have walking shoes :)
Oh, no! I didn’t notice your hair was wet until you mentioned it. Haha, what a blogger trooper!
what a super cool dress!

It’s my favorite dress of yours, Alex! Gollies, I love it so! and your shoezies are interesting… Need a close-up fo sho!
This is one of my favorites, too. I would love to have a closet full of black jersey dresses.
you always look so elegant in that dress, and the new shoes are pretty – i hope they live up to the hype and are made for walking!
My fave Wang dress comes back- I just adore it every time. Always looks fresh. You’ll have to report back how those shoes with Nike Air are, always been curious!
I love this dress so much. The shoes are great so far– only complaint is that they dig into the backs of my heels. Hopefully that will lessen as I break them in!
Also, did you change your blog url recently? I haven’t been getting your posts in Bloglovin.
Hmmm, I didn’t change the url but did change the blog host from blogger to squarespace, wonder if that is the issue? I had tested it though and it seemed to be working for me now (after some initial kinks). I repeat, hmmmm.
The shape of that dress is absolutely gorgeous! I love it. I think you will love the Cole Haan shoes (the nike technology really helps your feet).
They’re nice, though a tad narrow on my right foot. I think I’m going to have to get a shoe stretcher.
I much prefer to be cozy inside when it’s raining! Cute and comfy shoes…You can’t beat that!
I love this dress! It’s gorgeous and at first I was guessing Tadashi! The draping is amazing and it fits you so incredibly well!
No, although I do love Tadashi! My prom dress :)
