My name is Alex and I have been blogging in some form or another since 1998. I’m a former Manhattanite now living the quieter life in Brooklyn. I like outerwear and red lipstick.
When I was younger, I was let loose in a GAP Kids one too many times, resulting in many of the fashion choices you see here in my photos. I also read, traveled, and took cooking and art classes. Art eventually led me around to photography, and to this day I do enjoy a good brunch.

Hola, chica! Que tal?
Okay, so apparently I really look like I speak Spanish. I don’t know what it could be, because right now I’m so pale I can’t even remotely pass for being from anywhere that might be Spanish speaking. But yeah, everyone spoke Spanish to me.
In reality, I can maybe pick up every fifth word.
Probably should have learned Spanish.
So. Jealous.
That’s all.
I really liked Mexico. I mean, it umm… couldhavebeentheresort.
But still. I wasn’t expecting… I wasn’t expecting to want to go back? At least not to the coast. I’ve always wanted to go to Mexico City.
I was laughing to myself over the weekend because while you were instagramming pictures of beach and margaritas, I was posting pictures of snow and forests! :)
I think for once I did prefer the beaches. The weather was unbelievably fantastic.
