My name is Alex and I have been blogging in some form or another since 1998. I’m a former Manhattanite now living the quieter life in Brooklyn. I like outerwear and red lipstick.
When I was younger, I was let loose in a GAP Kids one too many times, resulting in many of the fashion choices you see here in my photos. I also read, traveled, and took cooking and art classes. Art eventually led me around to photography, and to this day I do enjoy a good brunch.

Yeah… the Rick Owens jacket is kind of a long term project. Like I feel like I should open a separate savings account just for it kind of long term project, haha. The Simply Vera one is a good alternative. Leica breaks my heart. I just want one so bad!

That scarf is absolutely beautiful. As if I needed another reason to drool over McQueen scarves I can’t afford haha. That instant film cam is adorable too, I used to have one and I loved being able to see pictures instantly! Film is so much more fun sometimes too :P
