I honestly get bored very easily at the beach. I can’t do the nine-hours-a-day, nothing-but-sitting-there thing. It’s very important that I have a lot of books (with a fully charged book battery) and an iPhone to keep me occupied. And if there are jellyfish in the ocean, then I need the extra phone battery, too.
Here are my beach bag essentials–
The bag: Longchamp Le Pliage Large in Sunshine. This is the old style from 2008 with long handles. The new style is currently on sale at Nordstrom for under $100, down from $145.
The contents: J.Crew Style Guide and Printed backup battery for iPhone 3G/4/4S (on sale for $29.99 and an extra 40% off), iPhone, Kindle Fire HD, and lightweight dress. This one’s pure + good from Anthropologie and no longer available, but this similar striped dress is nice.

I’m not much for laying out all day at the beach, I’ll just get terribly sun burned, regardless of how much sunscreen I slather on. The Kindle is my bestie. ;o)

Thanks so much for your comment, it means a lot!
I know, just sitting and staring is just too boring! I love sleeping on the beach though, covered in towels against getting a sun burn!
Have a fantastic week,

I can relate – all day at the beach is a very long time! A big umbrella and lots of reading material is key – especially since I probably wont spend more than 20 minutes actually in the water.
