I don’t know about you, but we’ve had a number of cool summer days during the past month. Early mornings and late evenings in particular seem to call for a scarf or jacket. There’s something special about photos captured just as the sun is disappearing, isn’t there?. The light is always glowing and soft, so no wonder it’s one of my favorite times of the day to shoot. My other favorite time is the blue hour, and I also like days that are perfectly overcast. Those are difficult to come by– it can’t be raining, but it can’t be too clear either.

My name is Alex and I have been blogging in some form or another since 1998. I’m a former Manhattanite now living the quieter life in Brooklyn. I like outerwear and red lipstick.
When I was younger, I was let loose in a GAP Kids one too many times, resulting in many of the fashion choices you see here in my photos. I also read, traveled, and took cooking and art classes. Art eventually led me around to photography, and to this day I do enjoy a good brunch.
