Beauty Box 5 is a subscription box service that sends you five samples for $12/month, $30/3 months or $99 for one year. It contains a good mix of products and I was pleased that it included full-size samples and deluxe samples.
Unfortunately, the loose eye shadow I received leaked and got everywhere in the box, but it’s a nice neutral with a bit of shimmer, totally versatile and great for everyday wear. I love hair products, so I was happy to get shampoo and conditioner samples from Coolway. The products smelled good and had a nice consistency, but the sulfate-free shampoo didn’t do a great job of getting my hair clean.
My favorite product is the Spongeables Pedi-Scrub Foot Buffer, which definitely leaves your feet feeling great. It’s also good for more than the 5+ uses advertised. I haven’t tried the nail polish yet because I’ve been too busy to do glittery nails. I think it’ll be a great color for spring though– I saw a lot of shimmer and neutrals at S/S 2014 and think they’re going to be popular trends.
As of the publish date of this post, signing up for Beauty Box 5 includes a bonus gift card to Soap.com! Learn more about the box at beautybox5.com.
I received this box complimentary in exchange for an honest review.
I’m always wary of these boxes, I feel like I’m more likely to end up with products I’m not interested in, though the concept I love. I’m waiting for a box where you can pick your own samples. haha.
Oh no about it exploding! i hate when that happens. So frustrating.
