A Fitting Clutch

Hi, Delayed Missives readers! My name is Caitlin, and I blog over at Re-Mix-Her! Alex and I have been blogging friends since she was at her old Tumblr address (which, by the way, she continues to update, in case you’re interested).  I’m a recent college graduate and looking for a full-time job in editing and publishing. I’d definitely be classified as a book nerd, and I’d love to live in NYC someday, partly so I can go to all the blogger meet-ups Alex is constantly blogging about.  This is definitely what I would call a typical Caitlin outfit: stripes, army green and pretty brown and gold accessories. Of course, I thought it was only appropriate to include my envelope-inspired clutch in today’s post because of Alex’s blog theme.  H&M dress (last year) | Lauren Ralph Lauren Cardigan via garage sale | Banana Republic heels (old) | BCBG Clutch (gift) | H&M sunnies | H&M cuffs  Please feel free to visit me over at Re-Mix-Her, or follow me via Twitter and Facebook! And a BIG thank you to Alex for having me on her blog today!

Little Black Everything

Hey there! It’s Nnenna here from star-crossed smile and I’m so excited to be over here on Delayed Missives today! There is a stereotype that New Yorkers only wear black and there is no one I know who wears allover black better than Alex (for example, here and here).  With some great pieces in her closet, she is able to put together chic all-black outfits that are anything but boring. As a little tribute to Alex, I thought it would be fun to round up some inspiring street-style images of people who also nailed the all-black look.

The little details and the unexpected twists are what make these all-black looks special. Whether it is a pop of color, a sleek silhouette, metallic accents, or great accessories, each of these outfits have little something extra that make them stand out.

Tell me: Would you wear an all-black look? Many thanks to Alex for having me over here today! :)
