Almost Business

Had something really weird just happen with this post… so here it is fixed/again I think (hope).

This is almost a suit?  Or…not at all. Well it’s the blazer of a suit at least.  Unfortunately it’s a bit too big in the chest but almost everything is!  This is the most office-y I have felt in a long time and it’s really not very office-y at all :)

I’ve missed my black and grey clothes!  They are the colors I like to wear best. I tried to roll up the cuffs of my blazer but they just kept sliding and sliding down so next time maybe I’ll try to hold them in place with safety pins.   I wish it had a cool lining like a lot of the blazers out right now!  Maybe I should think about lining the bottom of the sleeves with an interesting pattern!

It was such a nice day today, almost 50 degrees so I omitted my coat after the morning.  It’s still very icy and very slippery though.  I don’t know how other people get their pictures in the snow!  I’m always sliding around and settling into a pose at the last possible second!  If you have any tips please share them!  I was sliding like crazy and looked like an idiot today.

The skirt is my favorite purchase from a vacation to Ireland last August.  My friend and I decided to give ourselves a graduation present, and in the long-standing tradition of newly freed ex-students we decided that we just had to go abroad!  It was so cold there (60 degrees F to us at the time was freezing) but it was fabulous because it was so hot here!  It’s my first time wearing the skirt because it needs to be taken in a little.  I was waiting because I have to find a new tailor and I have already been through so many I didn’t like.  My old tailor retired which sent me into practically a depression.  She went to tailoring school in Rome.  She is so skilled.  I’m convinced that I will never find another tailor like her!

Talbots blazer, Old Navy shirt, Zara skirt, Assets by Sara Blakely stockings (Target), Anne Klein shoes.
