The Perfect Shade of Pink

November 26, 2011

I love to pose under tall trees. I like old things like vintage and antiques, so I guess it stands to reason that I like old trees as well. Probably why I like strolling through Stuyvestant Town so much. The trees are dazzlingly tall.

My first instinct for this skirt was black, but we’ve had such a nice few days that I’ve ended up bare legged and in boots for at least five days straight now. And so I ended up with brown. It’s more unexpected anyway, or at least that’s what I was thinking.

Got this skirt at Old Navy for $10! It wasn’t a Black Friday find though. I love the color, and it’s taken me forever to find a hot pink piece I’m satisfied with. The only random thing is that it has an ambiguous waist. I’m not exactly sure where it’s supposed to hit. It’s pulled up higher and held in place with the belt in these photos.

American Apparel dolman sleeve shirt, Old Navy skirt, LOFT belt, Frye boots, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

This is such a lovely outfit! I love the combination of the reds/pinks, and the gorgeous brown boots. What a warm ensemble! And I cannot believe that’s from Old Navy!

It’s so bright! I’m still trying to work more bright things into my wardrobe, so this is a super nice example…especially with the darker colors to let the pink be spectacular by itself.

Definitely the perfect shade of pink! And it pairs so well with brown. Brown is usually my go-to neutral… though black has been starting to overpower it lately.

that skirt is over twice as much online – as much as I hate to make the drive I really do want to go and see if I can find it in the store.

There are always such weird price discrepancies with the Gap Inc. brands. That’s the only really annoying thing about shopping there. Might have to go to the store and order online for the best prices, which I’ve done before.

I wear these a lot whenever I’m not in New York. They’re just not great walking shoes for some reason :( not enough support in the shank or something. Yeah this skirt was a pretty great find! I’ve been looking for this color foreverrrrr.

You look absolutely beautiful!! I love the color of that skirt, particularly paired with that top. It tones it down a bit.

I love tall trees, too. We have some here in Washington, they just require a bit of a drive to get to. =D
