I love to pose under tall trees. I like old things like vintage and antiques, so I guess it stands to reason that I like old trees as well. Probably why I like strolling through Stuyvestant Town so much. The trees are dazzlingly tall.
My first instinct for this skirt was black, but we’ve had such a nice few days that I’ve ended up bare legged and in boots for at least five days straight now. And so I ended up with brown. It’s more unexpected anyway, or at least that’s what I was thinking.
Got this skirt at Old Navy for $10! It wasn’t a Black Friday find though. I love the color, and it’s taken me forever to find a hot pink piece I’m satisfied with. The only random thing is that it has an ambiguous waist. I’m not exactly sure where it’s supposed to hit. It’s pulled up higher and held in place with the belt in these photos.
American Apparel dolman sleeve shirt, Old Navy skirt, LOFT belt, Frye boots, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.
$10!!! SCORE!!! My eyes went straight to it. I know you bought me one huh. Say you did…Ummm no? LOL I’m just messin with ya Alex! It looks super fab on you and there is SO much you can do with it. A wonderful shade of PINK.

Hahaha sorry, I only got this one :( But yeah, it was a really good buy and I’m in love with the color!
This is such a lovely outfit! I love the combination of the reds/pinks, and the gorgeous brown boots. What a warm ensemble! And I cannot believe that’s from Old Navy!
I only got this skirt and a lacy shirt, but they’ve had so many great things this fall!
I NEVER would have guessed that was an Old Navy steal. I just adore the pleats and bright color (you know I love anything bright and/or loud;) . The brown combo works so well, I will definitely try and work that soon with my bright pink maxi.
Old Navy has been great this fall! Usually I only shop there for basic things, but this season I got this skirt and a lacy black shirt, too.
i love this color combo and you are right that skirt is the perfect shade of pink
you just gave me a new term that i am sure i will into the ground…ambiguous waist! i love it
brett
The pink-on-pink looks great on you. That skirt is killer!
This outfit is perfect! Love everything about the skirt, and the top you paired it with was such a great color choice…I’m even loving the back of the shirt!
The back is actually the front– I just spin it around sometimes because it’s super low and I get tired of fussing with it. I actually think the dolman sleeves drape better this way, too.
It’s so bright! I’m still trying to work more bright things into my wardrobe, so this is a super nice example…especially with the darker colors to let the pink be spectacular by itself.
what a cute pink skirt!! i’ve been really impressed with ON lately and i love how you paired it with those brown boots!
cute & little
I loveeeeeeeee old navy! The skirt is beautiful and I love the colour too, great pairing with the burgandy top and toffee boots!
Some fellow bloggers pointed me in the direction of Old Navy’s fall collections and I’m glad they did! Their fall stuff has been really great!
Definitely the perfect shade of pink! And it pairs so well with brown. Brown is usually my go-to neutral… though black has been starting to overpower it lately.
that skirt is over twice as much online – as much as I hate to make the drive I really do want to go and see if I can find it in the store.
There are always such weird price discrepancies with the Gap Inc. brands. That’s the only really annoying thing about shopping there. Might have to go to the store and order online for the best prices, which I’ve done before.
So jealous that you scored that skirt for $10- I just love the color. And your Frye boots are great- they look amazing with everything!
I wear these a lot whenever I’m not in New York. They’re just not great walking shoes for some reason :( not enough support in the shank or something. Yeah this skirt was a pretty great find! I’ve been looking for this color foreverrrrr.
I love the color choice!! You look stunning!!
Thanks! These colors went better together than I expected :)
You look absolutely beautiful!! I love the color of that skirt, particularly paired with that top. It tones it down a bit.
I love tall trees, too. We have some here in Washington, they just require a bit of a drive to get to. =D
Thanks! As far as pinks go, this is my favorite. I love colorful trees, too, so I’m glad there are lots of evergreens around here.
