Skyline

September 13, 2011

So… okay. This was more like a photography session masquerading as an outfit photoshoot. This is my Target dress that I wear all the time (seen here with Shivani) and my double wrap Ann Taylor Loft belt. Nothing especially thrilling, but they are both favorites.

I was up on my friend’s roof again to take photos… and I forgot it’s getting darker more quickly again. Should have gone up earlier. I sometimes say that I’m really more photographer than blogger (yeah, sorry about the load time) and this is an instance when that’s very true– who cares about the outfit, let’s just take pictures of New York. It was so windy anyway. Isn’t my hair crazy?

Looking west you can see New Jersey.

Uptown.

The Chrysler Building. You may have noticed no Empire State Building in the skyline…

That’s because it’s next door. Totally ridic, right? Got dizzy taking this photo. Wish I would have discovered photography earlier in life.

Coming here to see your photography is just as fun as coming to see your outfits! These are gorgeous…it’s kind of weird to think of NYC as a real place where real people live, since I’ve always lived in fairly small towns that are definitely not metropolitan. Maybe that’s why I fantasize about living in a big city?

These are some of the best landscape photos I’ve ever taken. Although let’s be honest, the city doesn’t make it difficult to take good photos :) Living in a big city is fun! I don’t think New York is for everyone (it’s harder to live here than you’d think) but I’d definitely recommend the experience of living in a big city. Even if it’s just for a little.

The cityscape does make a nice backdrop for photos – and i love the uptown shot.
there are a lot of things i wish i’d started sooner. I wonder what I’ll be wishing I was doing right now 10 years from now.
