How compelling are these color-rich Sheila Johnson Collection scarves? They’re printed with photos from her travels– Haiti, Rwanda and Uganda for the Spring 2013 collection.
As a photographer and former world traveler, I appreciate the snippets of everyday life captured in each image. Whenever I take a photo, my goal is to make even the most mundane object seem extraordinary.
This koi scarf is the center scarf that’s looped around in the image above. Koi are notoriously difficult to photograph, so the clarity and color here are really excellent.
Shelia Johnson is an entrepreneur who cofounded BET and Salamander Resorts. Her scarves are made in Italy of 100% modal. Scarves retail for $475 at Neiman Marcus and a portion of proceeds benefits the Haiti Artisan Project.
I borrowed the ultra-pretty Clay Jars scarf for a benefit earlier in the year but was not compensated for this post.
Hmmm. I like the design of those scarves. Are there any beautiful scarves for men?

Ahhh me too! They’re beautiful but just so expensive!
I love how abstract they look when worn, but the photos are also quite gorgeous when in view. what a great idea for a printed scarf!
