Dear Laura,

Since I was so busy with school this year, I haven’t had much time to seek out new beauty products. I have strong loyalty to my favorites, but occasionally I try a new product that I end up really liking. I’ve finished all of these products lately. Some are old favorites and always repeat buys, others were completely new to me.

I’ve been using Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage for years and it still remains my favorite concealer. It’s on the heavier side and works best applied lightly after foundation.

I was very lucky last Christmas and received a Glossybox subscription as a gift! The Alterna Caviar CC Cream for Hair arrived in one of my Glossboxes.  

Herbal Essences recently launched a new hair care line that I received some samples for. I got the Herbal Essences Naked Volume Shampoo and Herbal Essences Naked Volume Conditioner, both from Influenster. I didn’t think that she shampoo was too special, but the conditioner is really great. It’s moisturizing without being heavy. 

I got the Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Facial Primer and Brightener in a Jane Iredale starter kit from Vogue. The powder foundation didn’t have enough coverage for me. However, the primer really worked. My foundation looked fresh all day when I used it. 

Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is a true old favorite— I’ve been using it since I was 19 or 20. I’ve tried many different brands, but I always keep a bottle of this on hand because it travels well and the lemony scent is so fresh.

I had high hopes for the Sulwhasoo Timetreasure Renovating Cream. This one came in a Glossybox, too. The pine scent of this cream just ended up being too strong for me, and I did not think it was moisturizing enough for me skin either.
