Another day, another photoshoot. I photographed the my friend’s almost six-week old newborn, so I’m not wearing jewelry or anything that could accidentally damage baby’s skin.
I haven’t worn this skirt in forever! It’s from Express about a year ago or so. I started disliking the elastic waist and didn’t like any of my belts over it until I tried this one (Forever 21, my new favorite black belt). I got this Generra shirt from Marshalls five years ago and promptly cut off most of the sleeves, which used to bell out and end at the elbow.
This is another no looking day, I suppose. I don’t know what I’ve been doing lately when I take photos but it does not include looking at the camera. I’ll try and fix that, or at least be me conscious of the photos I’m taking.
Love the little baby fist picture! How precious. I also really love your sunhat. Things here in IN have gotten a little too cold for sunhats – thankfully!
I love that little fist and that silhouette on you!
The tiny fist is one of my favorite photos from the shoot!
Haha, I kind of like how you’re not looking at the camera in any of the pictures. It looks intentional! I also like that the blacks in your outfit seem to match–I never seem to be able to pull that off. It’s so cool that you’re doing interesting photoshoots like this!
It was semi-intentional, but I didn’t intend to be hiding in all the photos! I try to match blacks but it really hardly ever works out. The top is actually slightly lighter than the skirt. These photos are a little underexposed though so you can’t tell.
I think this is a cute look, the hat just makes it so quaint. And the wedges make your legs look awesome.
I find during the summer i often use hats and sunglasses to hide from the camera and not let anyone know how bad my makeup (or lack of makeup is because it’s summer and i’m being lazy) is.
Ugh, I know how you feel about hiding. Usually it’s because I’m hot and thinking my skin looks oily :P The wedges are only 1.5 inches I think but somehow they do wonderful things for the legs!
Taking photos of newborns sounds challenging but fun! I love babies. , I’m loving your hat and the all black color palette of your outfit.
Babies can definitely be fussy! It’s a challenge to get some photos but the results are worth the work!
