Very 1930s-inspired with modern touches at Yuna Yang, who cited Italian cinema and her time as a student in Milan as major influences this season. Particular favorites include the forest green and tailored looks. …
Monika Chiang F/W 2013 | New York Fashion Week
I walked into Monika Chiang expecting a collection with a unique edgy/preppy twist, but I what I got was even better. The hair and makeup were obvious nods at 80s glam rock, and overall there was a luxe, elegant 70s and 80s vibe carried throughout the collection. …
New York Fashion Week: David Tlale S/S 2013
I appreciated the very tight color story (black, yellow, red) that David Tlale showed for S/S 2013. As you might guess, the embellished all black looks were my favorites, though I do love a good yellow minidress. …

Snaps From Lincoln Center
On an afternoon with a bit of a gap between shows, members of The Bloggers’ Collective stormed the plaza and took photos of each other hung around outside by the fountain. I used my beautiful new 85mm lens to take these photos, which means that I was basically fifty feet away and halfway across the plaza from everyone else since I have an ASP-C sensor. It worked out well since I’m basically the paparazzi anyway. The 85mm is probably the nicest lens I have ever owned. Even nicer even than my 50mm ƒ/1.4.
