I spent a steamy Wednesday evening on a rooftop in DUMBO. MomTrends and Tide Coldwater put together an intimate soirée for New York bloggers. I got the opportunity to connect with bloggers I’d never met before and learn about pomme and Brooklyn Industries, two local clothing retailers.

pomme carries very stylish children’s clothing.
My friend Luz, blogger, photographer, and jewelry designer.

Luz was nice enough to snap a few photos for me! It’s nice to have photographer friends.

And we all went home with bottles of Tide Coldwater, which is specially formulated for cold water washing and can save you money by switching to cold water.
Our gift bags included more treats from local businesses.
Thanks for a great great get-together, MomTrends and Tide!

It’s great that you got local treats and to learn about local businesses–I know “local” is so trendy right now, but for a good reason! I don’t know a lick about any local small-business retailers or clothing makers, which is a shame (and something I should fix sooner rather than later).
