Glamour and Paul Mitchell at Salon Caru

I ventured to Hoboken for the first time ever (and learned I’m a huge fail at the PATH train) to a Glamour and Paul Mitchell sponsored event at Salon Caru. Hosted by Kimberly Weling of Fashionably Petite (whom I have guest posted for in the past), guests received complimentary blowouts while sipping pomegranate mimosas and snacking on some light bites.

Salon Caru is one of the nicest salons I’ve ever visited, and the stylists definitely know their craft. Amanda (of the pink blazer and curly hair) gave me a gorgeous blowout with some bouncy curl. Her mini scalp massage was pretty amazing, too, and I’d forgotten how good Paul Mitchell products smell. They have just enough scent without being intrusive. The salon I went to when I was younger (and I mean like from ages 2-16 younger) used Paul Mitchell, so I had a bit of a blast from the past moment smelling the product. I almost felt like I was eleven years old again and getting my first truly grown up haircut.

I had a blast hanging with Kim, Chris, Iris, Angela, and Tamara— all pictured here except Tamara (sorry, don’t know how I don’t have a single photo of you!). More photos at Salon Caru by Kim here.

Never have a tangled hairdryer cord again.

My traditional creeping on Chris‘ bling photo.

Oh how fun! I see some familiar faces and a familiar looking yellow dress…
I love how long salon blowouts last and how good they look. when i blowdry my own hair it basically turns to a frizz ball.
