Dear Christine,
The neutral trend is one of my favorites this fall, especially the camel/black and tan/black combinations. And I think I’m going to like them even more in spring’s interesting shapes and leather combinations.

Love this look and your hair looks fabulous!

I really really like the color of that top. And that Fifi Lapin case is so cute!
Also, you changed your site font?!
Alexandra Shook says
I did. Courier New’s great for styling but the readability’s been bothering me for a while. I flipped to to Georgia for about an hour last night, but didn’t like the spacing. So now I’m in sans-serif once again.
Ah typography. I can never seem to get it right.

I often look to you for neutral styling inspiration, and I love that beautiful cream blouse. And is your cambridge satchel new? Adore!
Alexandra Shook says
The satchel is relatively new. It was a toss up between this one and a crazy color like neon pink or metallic gold. The black just works better for me right now, though I’m not ruling out gold entirely just yet. Maybe in the future!

I’ve been leaning more towards color recently as things get cold and I get grumpy, but I DID just recently get a tan cardigan with black (or possibly navy blue?) elbow patches and I like it a lot, so maybe I’ll challenge myself and try to come up with some cool all-neutral looks like this one. You have a good Thxgiving too!

The ankle boots and the black Cambridge satchel are awesome!

Happy Thanksgiving Alex! There is a reason this color combo and structured separates are such classics….because they always work. Inspired to rock these colors myself now;)
