Fall 2013 Nail Trends Preview | Beauty

Lately I’ve been paying more attention to the small details of a show– perfectly placed braids, major eyelashes, nude lips, a slash of eye shadow…

Zoya did glittery nails to match the gold looks at Rafael Cennamo, where full-size samples were also given out to presentation-goers. Here I used Angelina (the dark brown) all over and Goldie for barely there gold tips. The custom gold flake Maria Luisa top coat was not included in the set, or else I would have tried an ombré glitter overlay.

I used my favorite essie nail hardener as a base coat and finished with my old Sephora top coat. I’ve been meaning to try a new one as this one’s become kind of goopy lately.

What do you think? Will you be doing glittery gold nails this fall?

It took me a long time to do the tips they were a bit ragged– I freehanded them. I’ve tried to do thin tips with tape in the past but it just ended up goopy for me.

Silver and mint? I feel like that would look awesome on you!
