#EclosBeauty Skin Care Review and Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of éclos Skin Care. All opinions are 100% mine.

Several weeks ago, éclos beauty asked if I would review their Anti-Aging Skin Care Starter Kit, which contains stem cells extracted from the Swiss Uttwiler Spätlauber apple. I read about apple stem cells being used for skincare products years ago in Allure, but definitely couldn’t afford the high price points– at the time, skin care products containing apple stem cells were priced into the thousands.

éclos beauty’s goal is to bring this rare ingredient to consumers at drugstore beauty prices. The line is available in the U.S. at food, drug and mass stores, including Target, Ulta, Duane Reade, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Fred Meyer. Visit the website to learn more about éclos Skin Care.

I tested the éclos Anti-Aging Skin Care Starter Kit ($19.99 value), which includes:

• Facial Cleanser Skin Prep

• Cellular Activator Face Serum

• Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream

• Restorative Eye Cream

• Instant Radiance Facial Scrub

• Skin Renewal Clay Mask

• éclos Terry Cloth Head Band

Before and after:

I know the lighting and location aren’t the same, but do you think there’s any difference? I was hoping it would fade my dark spots, but I didn’t notice a change with them.

éclos beauty products contain Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture, which contains stem cells from the Uttwiler Spätlauber apple. The apple stem cells are supposed to stimulate skin stem cells, encouraging aging skin to behave like younger skin. In clinical testing, 100% of study participants saw an improvement in skin texture and wrinkle appearance within just 2 weeks of twice-daily application. I found the Facial Cleanser Skin Prep to be unexpectedly drying for an anti-aging product. However, the Instant Radiance Facial Scrub is both warming and moisturizing, and worked well when used directly after the Facial Cleanser Skin Prep. I also liked the Skin Renewal Clay Mask. Clay masks can be harsh on my skin, but this one was purifying without making my skin feel tight. I think the real star of the set is the Restorative Eye Cream, which I could feel firming my eye area almost instantly. It does burn if it gets to close to the eye, though.

The products claim to help help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and tired skin. I didn’t notice any change in the appearance of wrinkles (though I don’t have many), but I saw a definite and immediate difference in the puffiness of the skin around my eyes after using the Restorative Eye Cream. And a major plus is that these products did not make me break out– as I get older I find that my skin gets drier and more sensitive. I only like to use natural and organic products on it. Normally drugstore products just cause redness and breakouts.

And guess what? éclos beauty sent me another kit to give away to a reader! All you have to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment on this post telling me which product you’re most excited to try. The giveaway will be open until Friday, June 8th at 2:59am EST (that’s 11:59pm for West Coast readers).

How cool that they sent you stuff! You could probably guess this, but I tend to eschew all skincare products, other than basic lotion and a scrub for in the shower. Trying to figure out what to use makes my head hurt! I wouldn’t mind giving some of this stuff a try, especially since I could probably use a better facial scrub than what I buy at Grocery Depot.
