I have a palette gifted to me from BA STAR, but this is the first loose mineral shadow from them that I’ve tried. Don’t you love the name of this color– it’s called Chocolate Star Dust.
This is a really nice color, a rich brown that brightens up the eye area with shimmer. However, it doesn’t seem to have great staying power. I accidentally smudged it everywhere with just a light touch, so primer is a definite must.
I finished off my neutral eye look with a dark brown shadow from my Natural Shadow Palette to make it a bit of a light smoky eye.
You can see more Star Dust colors at BASTAR.com and if you like any of them you can get 50% off until September 30th by using BBDUST at checkout.
Disclosure: a sample was provided to me from BA STAR in exchange my honest opinion on the product.
because i’m a sucker for earth tones, i would love this!
If I didn’t know it was eyeshadow, I would have eaten it just from the name. It looks so pretty!
It also smells good– slightly sugary!
What a pretty color – I’ve only tried mineral powder concealer, but I can guess that shadow probably stays on for quite a bit.
Pretty color. Love the name too!
I like nice shimmery neutrals, but rarely take the effort to apply primer, even though I should.
I know, I have so many little primer samples but I always seem to forget about them!
pretty hue!

Gorgeous pics! The color looks great on you :)
I have reviewed one of their palettes in the past. i usually don’t like loose pigments bc of the work involved. i know, so awful, right? and i’m reviewing one in tomorrow’s post, lol.
You’re definitely not alone! I feel like loose eyeshadow takes more time and can also be really messy.
