Black, Brown, Navy, Rose Gold

Dear Mia,

It has been so windy the last few days, as you can see. I’ve really started to miss those balmy 40 degree days. There’s been a lot of layering going on.

Confession: I don’t like this outfit. There’s just something… off, but I can’t identify it. I think… I may have liked a brown shoe better. Ah well. Hindsight. I’ve been really feeling black and brown lately, which you know if you’ve seen my Pinterest style board in the last week. Practically obsessed.

I’m wearing my Vivienne Vivienne Tam faux fur vest (c/o a gift card from TJ Maxx), Vince shirt, J.Crew chevron shirt (Dec 2010), J Brand jeans (similar), MIA wedge ankle boots, and Anthropologie necklace. My Coach Court bag is vintage, but it’s available on Coach.com.

For what it’s worth, I think this is pretty fly. Especially the rose gold (I’m a sucker for rose gold!). Also, I love following your pins–you pin such appealing stuff!

Thanks Mia :) It pretty much amazes me that anyone follows me on Pinterest because I’m pretty sure I pin the same outfit consisting of black, stripes, brown, neutrals, and leopard over and over again!

Hmm, I am wondering if I should dig out some of the outfit posts I have shelved for the same reason- something I just didn’t like. I, personally, like your outfit very much. Maybe I’ll do a post of all the rejects over the year….haha, see what people think.

I am not sure what is the problem with the outfit?  I think it looks great, and I like the colours you layered under the vest.  Alex…have you lost weight?  You look fantastic and get that F21 hat :) You’ll love it, it is 100% wool link to it is in yesterday’s post!

Me too! Now that I’m looking at these photos again I’m thinking I should have gone with dark denim and my brown boots… maybe in the future.
Smorgasbord is a fun word! I really like the word cacophony, too, and I never use that either.

So I think you cal tell we play a lot of Words With Friends.
