Before and After Madewell

If you’ve seen my Instagram or Twitter lately, you know that Nnenna and I attended one of the Madewell Style Sessions last week. We planned on a little primping at the Refinery29 Beauty on Wheels event, but when we got there they were no longer accepting people for makeovers. We headed to MAC instead, where we tried some fabulous lip colors, then on to Madewell. Madewell was fun (sweet treats, drinks, and discounts!), and we tried on a lot of things but neither of us bought anything. I’d love to buy shorts for summer, but Madewell and J.Crew bottoms tend to be cut too curvy for me. And no tailor I know will agree to take denim in through the hip.














I took a lot of photos! This is the Sony again, and it was its first foray out into New York. The wide angle takes awesome cityscapes :)

    What an amazing trip!  We don’t have madewell in Chicago!  We need a refinery beauty bus too!!!  The lipstick you see in today’s post is “It Girl,” by sephora.

    You both look so preeeeetttyyyy! I want to steal Nnenna’s polka dot dress and your shoes! I bet if I lived closer to both of you, I would be “stealing” stuff left and right ;)

    I know I say this every time, but you two always look like you’re having so much fun! Plus, you both have the prettiest nails. (My home manicures never look nearly that nice, haha.)

      Nnenna’s a pro at nail painting, but mine only look this good when the polish is sheer. Anything with shimmer hides painting flaws, too! I love the way polish looks, but I hate the amount of time and effort it takes to get it that way.

    I was going to say – did you get a wide angle lens! Those look pretty fab.

    I love that skirt on you, it’s so flattering.

    Shorts can be tricky, I hope you are able to find a cute pair for this summer.

    I’m still a bit sad that we were too late for the Refinery 29 beauty makeover, but we did have fun at the Madewell event!  Plus it gave us time to take lots of pictures and get you two pretty new lipsticks at MAC! :)
