Before jetting out for the holidays Hope, Nnenna, and I got together for a mini celebration (i.e. really just going somewhere to eat as usual). Soho Park is my favorite place for an inexpensive dinner south of Houston. The food isn’t fancy and it’s definitely not Shake Shack, but I’ve never gone wrong with the standard burger and fries. There’s even a gigantic vegetarian friendly portobello burger. I’m a fan of the sauces (which do cost extra) and always get the garlic aioli for my fries. …

Snaps From Lincoln Center
On an afternoon with a bit of a gap between shows, members of The Bloggers’ Collective stormed the plaza and took photos of each other hung around outside by the fountain. I used my beautiful new 85mm lens to take these photos, which means that I was basically fifty feet away and halfway across the plaza from everyone else since I have an ASP-C sensor. It worked out well since I’m basically the paparazzi anyway. The 85mm is probably the nicest lens I have ever owned. Even nicer even than my 50mm ƒ/1.4.

Fashion Week Parties: Benefit
Nnenna and I had plans to attend the Benefit Cosmetics Primp and Party, so after Lucky FABB I dragged my very large and heavy gift bag down to SoHo on the train. Which I don’t recommend you do. We ended up having a tiny blogger meetup because we also saw Francisca and her sister Anne. Bloggers in Front of Brownstones
The majority of these houses are actually brick row homes, but Bloggers in Front of Brick Row Homes doesn’t sound quite as good as Bloggers in Front of Brownstones. Snapette Meet and Greet at Flying A
Last week, Snapette and The Bloggers’ Collective got together at Flying A, a SoHo boutique that carries a mix of contemporary and carefully curated vintage pieces. The decor inside is very cool and it’s definitely a shop I’ll visit again.
Snapette is an app that uses crowdsourced photos to provide a hyperlocal shopping experience to its users.
I snapped this clutch at Flying A with the app, and with Location Services turned on, I can see photos of products from other users at stores near my location. Pretty cool concept– something you’re looking for might be right across the street! …
