Dinner at Soho Park


Dear Shen Dove,

Before jetting out for the holidays Hope, Nnenna, and I got together for a mini celebration (i.e. really just going somewhere to eat as usual). Soho Park is my favorite place for an inexpensive dinner south of Houston. The food isn’t fancy and it’s definitely not Shake Shack, but I’ve never gone wrong with the standard burger and fries. There’s even a gigantic vegetarian friendly portobello burger. I’m a fan of the sauces (which do cost extra) and always get the garlic aioli for my fries.

Snapette and Piperlime Snaphunt in SoHo

Piperlime Holiday Picks

Last weekend I went on a treasure hunt in SoHo to find a Piperlime gift card waiting for me at the green balloons! I was delighted to run into Sarah (co-founder of Snapette) at secret location #1 with plenty of gift cards still available. After snagging a green balloon, I headed down to the Piperlime store to meet Hope and we ended up braving the last day of the Alexander Wang sample sale. It was totally worth it for the final price cuts.

Bloggers in Front of Brownstones



Dear Laura,

The majority of these houses are actually brick row homes, but Bloggers in Front of Brick Row Homes doesn’t sound quite as good as Bloggers in Front of Brownstones. Nnenna and Hope already wrote about our night of soirées, but I have a few additional photos from our evening. On Fridays We Wear Black




Dear Caitlin,

So apparently bloggers get together and wear black to celebrate blogiversaries. Or maybe that’s only blogiversaries in New York? In any case, on Friday evening some members of the Blogger Social Club (Hope, Jamillah, Kim, Kristine (who has a blog but does not update it), Luz, Nnenna, and me) got together to celebrate Nnenna’s Two-Year Blogiversary for Star-Crossed Smile.
