Swiss Dot Dress + J.Crew Sunflower Necklace | Outfits

blue cotton dress and stuart weitzman sandals

Dear Chrissy,

This feather light cotton dress is one of my favorites for hot, humid days. It’s really only appropriate for summer, so I try to get as much wear out of it as possible during the season. It helps that the color goes so great with just about anything, and that I can dress it up or down as long as the occasion isn’t too fancy.

I finally caved and got the J.Crew sunflower necklace. It was a toss up between white and pink, but white won out for versatility. The plating is antique, so I think it’ll be a good fall and winter piece, too. This is one necklace that I actually think is worth its full price ($50) because the resin and chain are both very high quality. If you’re on the fence about this one, I encourage you to buy. It’s worth the price, especially now that it’s marked down.

Hope you had an excellent weekend! Have you bought anything fun lately?

Alex

Swiss dot! I love Swiss dot. It’s such a fun texture, I always want to pet it and play with the nubs when I’m wearing something Swiss dotty. That color is gooooorgeous on you too!

I bought a really cute second pair of Danskos recently because my first pair were so comfy, and I also got a pretty adorable dress at one of my favorite thrift stores over the weekend. I wore them together today, obviously.

I agree with the first comment. That dress looks fantastic on you. I adore the bangles as well! You might be able to get some Autumn use out of it with a cardigan and some tights (colored maybe) who knows.

This is a perfect hot Summer outfit IMO because it’s a simple, pretty dress played up with accessories. That’s usually how I try to dress in the heat, thanks for the inspiration!
