Swapped Stripes and Leather

September 20, 2011

Okay, so… the topstitching on my jacket is definitely coming out at the bottom. I have to find someone to fix it. I confess I don’t even remember what I was doing on this day because it was so long ago. I need to load photos in a more timely manner than I have been for the past month. What happened to the weekend, for serious… it’s Sunday? And for that matter what happened to September too. October really crept up on me.

Wearing my Ellen Tracy rain coat, Xhilaration/Target striped shirt from the ModSwap, Gap leather skirt, French Sole flats, and bag I can’t remember the name of stolen from my roommate.

This is going to sound super weird, but I love how you execute facing-away-from-the-camera shots. I try to do this sometimes, but feel so weird about not looking at the camera so I just end up craning my neck around to stare at my butt or something. Yours look very natural, I need to take note of how you do it.

Weird Mia aside, this is definitely very chic, and I didn’t notice the loose threads at all. You always seem like one of the most put-together bloggers I follow, with simple-but-classy outfits.

I think The Clothes Horse always has good facing away photos too. In this particular instance I pretended like I was walking away… without actually walking away. I do my best with outfits! Sometimes I feel… too simplified? because I tend to eschew many layers and accessories. But I do strive for put-together.

The skirt is really cute as well as the trench!  It should be a quick fix and I can’t wait to see you rock that H&M python dress…or in any of the solid colours, it’s a great dress ;)
