Sun Showers | Alexander Wang & Cole Haan

Dear Katha,

I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but the weather’s doing something crazy in these photos. They’re actually from before Memorial Day when it was constantly storming and I thought mid-Atlantic was about to become the tropics. This Alexander Wang dress is great during humid and rainy weather. The jersey breathes well and tends to dry quickly unless totally and completely soaked. And when it rains, black is always a better choice than white!

It’s pouring, yet sunny. And my hair is getting soaked. Just had it cut, so at least it’s a little less of a ragged mess these days.

Oh well. Actually I used to love going out in the rain when I was younger. With or without an umbrella. I don’t get much opportunity to do that now. Always going somewhere, and when you’re outside in New York without an umbrella you are seriously getting rained on.

New shoes! They’ve got the Cole Haan + Nike Air technology, so I’m hoping they’ll be my walking shoes this summer.

Alex

Oh, wow! I love sunshowers–they always feel like there’s a glitch in the Matrix or something, haha. Despite the rain, your lighting is gorgeous here! Ahh, your pictures are always so pretty…

Ow ow! You look gorgeous! That Grecian-looking dress is STUNNING! The draping is super sexy. So goddess-like.

May the force be with you.

I love this dress so much. The shoes are great so far– only complaint is that they dig into the backs of my heels. Hopefully that will lessen as I break them in!

Also, did you change your blog url recently? I haven’t been getting your posts in Bloglovin.

Hmmm, I didn’t change the url but did change the blog host from blogger to squarespace, wonder if that is the issue? I had tested it though and it seemed to be working for me now (after some initial kinks). I repeat, hmmmm.
