Dear Lydia,
Oh look, I’m here again. I love this area. Forget Central Park. Although it’s very nice, Brooklyn Bridge Park wins every time. The water has the best view, but I like the park part past the bridge as well. I’ll have to venture there and show you one day.
I got a new bag! The Merona for Target faux-ostrich in grey from this post. I love how structured it is. I’m definitely into structured bags right now (ahhh Céline).
Not a spectacular outfit. I couldn’t get this shirt to stay tucked into the skirt and was fiddling with it all day. I’m wearing my Helmut Lang coat, shirt… I forget, Gap skirt, Merona/Target tights, Stuart Weitzman Forsure pumps (not a good idea on the rocks, oops), and Coach sunglasses.

That’s Target? It’s awesome!

Your tough leather skirt is so perfect paired with the precious tights. I adore pairing leather with sweeter pieces. Also, I love the criss cross detail on your top. You look adorable!

The criss cross detail is my favorite part of this shirt. It’s also sequined, but I forgot to get a good photo of it. Next time.

Alex, this bag looks amazing, I really had do to a double take when you revealed that it was from Merona! Love the outfit and sorry to hear about the shoes on rocks…hope the weitzman’s are not ruined :|

I feel like I’m pulling a Bessie with the fashionable high street stuff– you always have such amazing finds! The shoes are okay, but definitely in need of a good cleaning.

You are such a doll! I love how you start your blogs…as a letter…so cool.
Lovely photos! Great bag! And, you are just too cute!
Alex Elizabeth says
Using this letter format goes well with my branding and helps me be a little bit more personal. I have a tendency to rather anonymous on my blogs. If you ever want a blog letter you can sign up for one here: http://delayedmissives.com/letters-to-you

it does seem like structured is in and slouchy is out, and I love a good water backdrop too, usually more than trees (save for when the leaves are offering that lovely filtered sunlight and creating pretty bokeh.)
Alex Elizabeth says
Very true, although my #1 is still the Balenciaga. It’s hard to get photos on the water here between the little kids running around during the day and the shutterbugs with tripods at night! We’ll see, one day I’ll discover the perfect formula. It might be before 9am (gasp) because it’s so quiet then.

The bag is a delight. Some day we will team up and do our shoots in the park at the same time.
Alex Elizabeth says
Yes, one day we have to coordinate our photos!

That bag is great! I recently saw those there and thought they looked so cool. I’m glad you went for it.
And I agree – thank you, Celine, for turning us all on to structured, gorgeous bags.
Alex Elizabeth says
I like it a lot! It was hard to decide between tan and grey, but when I went back only the grey was still available. It’s worked out well so far!
Nnenna says
Your new structured bag was definitely a great find at Target! Also, find anything good when you went shopping this weekend?
Alex Elizabeth says
I got a new black cardigan thing that looks like the two others I have hahhahaa. That’s it, nothing anywhere else. I feel like I went to so many stores!
laura says
Hey! you got that faux ostrich bag! It looks gorgeous, Alex, and I definitely love that skirt :) Happy Monday!
Alex Elizabeth says
Yeahh I love this bag! And I haven’t wrecked it yet despite it being faux. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)
