I recently realized that I’ve seen GEORGINE for a few seasons, enough to begin observing some evolution. It’s rare when you’re able to follow a designer from her first show at fashion week. I’ve gone from sitting front row to seeing it become star-studded (Laverne Cox is so tall!), which means that people are really starting to take notice.
This season, the GEORGINE woman stays true to her glamorous roots, but now wears them in mod-influenced silhouettes with a touch of bohemian embroidered detail.
This look is my favorite one from the collection. The dress is so beautiful– see it from the front here.
I waffle constantly on my feelings about fur. To wear or not to wear? New? Vintage only? I won’t be purchasing any of the fur pieces here, but they were well done.
After I left the show, Bill Cunningham was outside taking photos. I’m always happy to see him, so I gave him a big smile as I walked past. One of these days I’m going to yell ‘Thanks for all the photos, Bill!’. And then probably run away in embarrassment.

This collection is divine. Sumptuous and exquisite. I! I Too, am ambivalent about fur, but for pure visuals and sensuous movement there is nothing like silk and fur . All of the fine workmanship is so truly lovely .
