Dreamy Sunset Forest | Outfits

Dear Kimberlee,

There’s something special about photos captured just as the sun is disappearing, isn’t there?. The light is always glowing and soft, so no wonder it’s one of my favorite times of the day to shoot. My other favorite time is the blue hour, and I also like days that are perfectly overcast. Those are difficult to come by– it can’t be raining, but it can’t be too clear either.

My hair is gigantic again. I’d love to have it cut, but I’m not too sure what I’d like to do with it yet. I have been toying with a shorter style again. However, I know I’ll likely get tired of that in the first month. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Sunset is so nice for pictures! My afternoon pictures are so much more forgiving than my pre-work ones, but I just have to make do, haha. I would suggest some wild haircuts for you–one side shaved!–but that may not be up your alley, huh? Most long hairstyles look pretty similar to me since I haven’t had longish hair in forever, so I’m probably not the person to be throwing out advice about this.

I will take golden over overcast any day. I have such a struggle taking my photos when the sky is grey, they never look how I hope they will.

Love the turquoise pendant amidst all the burgundy, it’s the perfect pop.

I always consider an overcast day a photo editing challenge. Never know when you might be shooting a wedding in those conditions! Sometimes there are really perfect overcast days where everything doesn’t look grey and washed out. Those so rarely happen, though.

Gorgeousness, Alex. That skirt is so pretty!<3 I love how long your hair is getting! One of my friends pointed out that mine has gotten so long too, and I really want a cut, but don't know what to do with it…
