I’m wearing leopard and houndstooth, get it? Yeah, I am so not funny. This is what I wore to my next-door neighbor’s father’s 60th birthday party. I decided to take my camera because, you know, next door (same building too). Didn’t have to carry it very far. Then I proceeded to be the paparazzi/a huge creeper for the entire night… but I got several good photos and practice with low light conditions. If you’re my friend on Facebook or Flickr you can see all the photos.
This is also my submission for Bloggers Do It Better: Animal Prints! Which is actually tomorrow. I wanted to wear my leopard maxi again, but it’s actually been raining forever and today is the first really decent day under 78 degrees. So leopard blouse it is. I’m really glad I got this shirt and have been wearing it all the time lately.

Leopard + Houndstooth= one very interesting combo- I love it! Also, these low light shots came out pretty well. I need some outdoor practice, some low-light practice, basically some camera practice in general!

This mix of prints is amazing! I never would have thought to pair those two together … now all I need to do is add some houndstooth to my closet. :D
My capsule wardrobe pushed me to do it! And it wasn’t a particularly dressed up party, so I tried not to be particularly dressed up. Probably didn’t succeed, but oh well.

These came out quite well considering the lighting conditions, though I suppose NYC does offer a fair amount of ambient light even after dark!
These were from the last weekend in September and at about 7:15pm if you can believe it. So dark, but that’s what happens when you live on the East River. When I visited my friend in Battery Park I was amazed at the amount of light left… I guess that means I should live on the west side?
