Hello Easter

It’s mid-April already.

Somehow.

I feel like the past few months took a very long time, but not that much time has actually passed. For example, I got a haircut two months ago and was completely convinced it was more like four or five months ago. And it does feel like February and that haircut were four or five months ago, but of course, they weren’t.

A long winter, perhaps.

Seems like everything is beginning to even out into something spring-like. Maybe it’s time to wake up and put some pink ombre in my hair.

Summer Gingham

What a serious heatwave we’ve been having lately… I hope you’ve been staying cool, hydrated, and safe from heatstroke. Lately I’ve been drinking an extra glass of water every day. I cut back on coffee, too, but there’s only so much you can do before a portable fan and bulk supply of mini Evian spray bottles start sounding like good idea.

Kitchen Sink Ramen

Perfect for a cold snap like we’ve been experiencing in the Northeast. Made with a ramen packet and some leftovers from the refrigerator. In the true spirit of kitchen sink recipes, I failed to get a clean photo of this dish and my computer and headphones are visible at the top. I was too hungry to stage a good food photo!

Red Parka | GEORGINE Fall 2016

The GEORGINE Fall 2016 collection was influenced by fairy tales and the struggle between good and evil. Can you see it? There were plenty of playful looks, but my favorites were the darker, edgier ones. And if fur’s your thing, it was plush and gorgeous.

Look one was a fantastic opener. It’s a risk to do a red parka in a high-sheen fabric (I believe it’s silk satin), and this one was done so flawlessly. I never knew I wanted a red parka before.
