The wind has been blowing here in New York this summer… and unfortunately it’s mostly been a hot wind! My hair is absolutely crazy. I’ve even taken to pinning it up on hot days, which you know almost never happens. I never used to go out with my hair up.

I love tomatoes. Like really really love them. Like if you asked me if we should eat fruit or tomatoes– yes. Tomatoes. Always. These pretty tomatoes came from the farmers market and are unbelievably red.
I also really love Fishs Eddy. I think about 99% of all New Yorkers do. Head-to-toe crazy pink seahorses on a chevron background– full length photos from this outfit snippet post have finally been caught on camera. This pink seahorse dress is my favorite dress of the summer. It feels like the clothing of my younger years, back when I used to wear old school J.Crew every day.

Now that it’s full summer I’ve been changing up the decor. My two new summer windowsill candles are Ilume via Anthropologie, which always has something interesting. The regular glass candles that most stores have don’t seem to look as nice in the window, and I like not begin able to see the burned wick.
I picked up a Vanilla & Fig from the Boulangerie collection, and a summery Citron Basil from the Nature Tin collection. The Citron Basil is my pick for favorite summer candle– it practically smells like a summery dessert….
