Sometimes I try to be casual, but I’m never sure if I actually like it. A lot of the time it feels weird to me… and then I end up wearing heels. I wanted to do something different with the oft-seen black open cardigan, so naturally I tied it in a knot. I wasn’t really sure what to do with it. …
On the Rocks in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Dear Lydia,
Oh look, I’m here again. I love this area. Forget Central Park. Although it’s very nice, Brooklyn Bridge Park wins every time. The water has the best view, but I like the park part past the bridge as well. I’ll have to venture there and show you one day. …
A Bright New Clutch
The extremely bright clockwork Asos clutch from the IFB gift bags.

My 15in MacBook Pro. I like it so much more than my old 13in MacBook because the screen is bigger and much much clearer. I also love my iPhone 4S for the camera (and apps like HootSuite and Instagram), along with my SLR, tripod, and remote for serious photos. I really love technology. I’ve actually been blogging and doing web development since I was eleven, so that’s almost fourteen years now.
iPhone 4S photos taken in Brooklyn Bridge Park with Camera+ and Instagram.
iPad 3! I borrowed an iPad 2 for IFB and it was a lifesaver. The wireless network worked on it while my phone was basically a useless piece of expensive technology. I’m sure it must be amazing with 3G (or the rumored 4G) if it’s not on AT&T in New York.
I adore Twitter, but half the time it’s just like scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll. I hardly ever check my phone at work (and yes, I get anxiety about that) so I am semi-unplugged for a good number of hours during the week.
I can never decide if I spend too much time or too little blogging. I’m inclined to think too little, actually. I never seem to have enough time for my blog and reading blogs.

Stripes, Pink, and Black
Dear Nnenna,
There were a few very very nice days over the weekend. Nice enough for just my faux-shearling jacket and no wool coat. I didn’t even feel cool when I took it off, although I’m positive I frightened the neighbors off again. The children are never scared, though. They just stare at me puzzledly. …
Ann Taylor Asymmetrical Jacket
Dear Silvergirl,
It’s been so incredibly windy here. How about near you? I didn’t realize it at the time, but I have my eyes closed in every photo I took. I really need to see about getting some non-prescription glasses to keep things from getting in my eyes. If I don’t you’re going to think I’m asleep in every photo. …
Manhattan Bridge After Sunset
Dear Dotty,
I have made an incredible discovery. I have found a natural habitat for style bloggers: Brooklyn Bridge Park at the golden hour.
I thought I might go down by the water, put my camera on the steps, and take some photos. However, I immediately realized it would not be possible. All over Brooklyn Bridge Park there are people with tripods. Everywhere. I’ve never seen so many shutterbugs out at once (except maybe at blogger events). …
Spring Accessories
Dear Kelsey,
I’m out in the country, so I trotted off — okay, drove — to Target, which has been some producing some nice accessories lately (although the prices do reflect the better than usual quality). Cuffs like these are made by a popular jewelry designer whose name currently escapes me. At first I thought they were Alexis Bittar-inspired, but I don’t think that’s right. I just can’t remember where I’ve seen them before. It’s a popular style, so possibly in the collections of several different designers. They’re $24.99 each, which honestly seems a little steep, although the agate does appear genuine to me. …
A Black Dress Again in Black and White
Sorry I’m so boring. All I have for you today is another black Alexander Wang dress. Sometimes I think you’ll get tired of me wearing the same things all the time and then you won’t come and visit any more. I can’t help it though, I don’t think I’d mind at all if my entire wardrobe consisted of black draped jersey dresses. They certainly are becoming a staple– I’m up to three now. …
Black, Navy, White, Stripes | Sponsored
I don’t know what is it about this striped shirt, but I like it and wear it far more often than my black and white Ann Taylor one. I think I like that the stripes are actually navy and not black, and that it has a different shape than most striped shirts I see.
As you know, I’m an intern at an environmentally friendly jewelry designer here in New York, so I was eager to put some of my jewelry inspecting skills to the test when Anjolee offered me a necklace for review. Anjolee specializes in custom made diamond jewelry and Anjolee diamonds are never treated or enhanced. They’re also Kimberley Process compliant (an industry standard conflict-free certification). …
